Just cook your rice in the ham juice and it comes out as greasy rice. My favorite carb in the whole world.

Same idea as a chicken bog cooking the rice in the chicken drippings.

My wife makes greasy rice, and it’s damn near the best thing in the spread.

My wife calls it ham rice, even puts in little chunks of ham conservatively. It's pretty good stuff.

So I guess I've been making greasy rice for years unknowingly.

I’m showing up for fried dark turkey meat over rice with a pile of giblet gravy, my momma’s Mac and cheese, green bean casserole and broccoli casserole. Pumpkin bars with cream cheese icing and chopped pecans for dessert. I’m sure there will be plenty of other stuff, including a few dishes from people that like to get experimental (don’t be that person that puts water chestnuts and homemade onion straws in the green bean casserole) that ruin a perfectly good food item that people look forward to all year.

Same. I got my target items of the really good stuff, and everything else is just sorta ancillary to the really good stuff.

Ya'll ever tried pineapple casserole, my ex made it on 2 consecutive thanksgivings before i would even try it and i was surprised it was actually pretty good
