My wife is 35 weeks pregnant and heads to Charlotte for a girls weekend with her mom and sisters this last Friday the 11th. We'll Sunday morning I get the call that her water broke as they were driving around looking at houses where they grew up. Of course nothing was packed as we were not anticipating anything this early. I very quickly packed some bags and headed up. After a nice short, not stressful at all, three hour drive. I made it to the hospital. Waited around all night at 1cm in a chair that should be outlawed as a torture device in the Geneva convention. At 730am this morn they came in and rechecked everything. 5cm. They came back around 930am and said "well all I feel is baby's head so here she comes. 4 contractions later Sayre McCall made her appearance into the world. All 5lb 12oz and 19" of her is perfect. She is strong and eating well. Already lifting her head up trying to look around. She impresses us and the staff each new passing hour. Man this is gonna be fun. Momma and baby are doing great.
