    Default Hanging with the grandson

My grandson and I spent a rainy day canning my trophy button buck. Then we made meatloaf using deer burger. If it has anything to do with the outdoors or cooking wild game he's ready to help.

I love my little pop up. AC when it's warm and heat when it's cold goes a long ways towards making a hunting trip even more enjoyable.

Stuff the jar full up to an inch of the top. Tablespoon of salt and pepper on top. Hand tighten kids. Boil for at least 3 hour's. Lids should Pop when they seal after they start to cool. if they don't, refrigerate and eat in a few days.sealed will be good for 6 months or better.

I plan to but people canned with the hot bath method for decades before pressure cookers were affordable.

That fillet looking knife he's used was his great great grandmother's kitchen knife. Started life as a regular kitchen knife but that's what's left after at least 60 years of sharping.

That's neat about the knife! I got some that are over 80 at least and still use daily.
