Caught 11 nice bream at the pond this afternoon.
Kept 5 for supper.
They sure do love the black wooly bead head.

Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
What pond?
A little pond my father owns inbetween elloree and creston.
It has a shallow flat like area(about 2ft)
And the bream hang out on the slope to deeper(6ft)water.
Its a bream dominant pond, the bass average less than a pound, but the bream are enormous.

Good Job I guess.......kinda interesting though, 40 degree water and brimps are biting?
Are you sure you are not confusing them with their Hybrid cousin "Molly"
On the flyrod?
Yeah Tuff.
Dook,
The water in my pond isn't 40 degrees.
Its probably close to fifty or better.
The shallow flat is much warmer.
I've never been one to take pictures of an afternoon bream bust.
But if it helps my internet credibility i will try and remember.

No "mollies" in this pond.
But even so, what would be the difference?
I'm sure the feeding habits of bluegills are one and the same as mallmouths, wouldn't you think.

We have always caught alot of Mollies while winter bassin in ponds and rivas. Seems those bastages eat all the time.
They are my favorite fish as far as topwater flyfishing goes.
You can't beat big mallmouths at dusk.
