Does that dog ever stop or moving? Or is it one of the few calm ones?

I will say though, after having a 70lb lab, I’ll stick to the smaller frames moving forward.

I have 3 of them right now. they are all from imported stock and are non stop, perpetual motion machines. They do get still and attentive when working, but lap dogs they are not.

The few English Cockers I've been around had a tremendous amount of "hunt" in them. Friends in the upper midwest love them for grouse and woodcock.

In the pointing dog world, "field trial" dogs of any particular breed keep getting bred smaller and smaller while the "show dog people" breed them bigger and bigger (and stupider). It doesn't take too long before they look like totally different breeds. The better breed organizations don't neglect either side of the formula and test for field ability and conformation.

Pretty dog, love a spaniel! I'm partial to a brittany as thats what my grandpa had growing up. My FIL has a boykin complete with the crazy eyes and severe separation anxiety.
