Travis is a kickass guide and a good friend. Dilla and I fish with him every year. if you want to fish Watauga he's the Shizit!!!

None the less, it's fucked up to trash talk a fug'n roostertail.

Gotcha, he he is a dead ringer and they both fish the Watauga. I have a 15' Clacka Craft that I have used on the Watagua for years. Give me a holler when y'all are going next time and I will get Kneedeepindumbass and meet you over there.

Fly purists need fishing lessons too and anybody that talks shit about catching trout on spinners would definately cry to watch us pulling those hogs out of Cheoah on wasp grubs...

Corky would have been proud of us Friday afternoon, ehh Jabaroo? 10 or 12 nice rainbows (and my first brown) all on a dainty little Winston 4 wt. Of course, a true purist would probably turn up his nose at a woolybooger...opting for a dry fly made with deer hair and a cactus needle as a hook.

That was a blast! The weighted montana came through as usual but once they get spooky, you can always dredge a few out with the bugger.

BTW, Nutz caught a big rainbow on Saturday (his first) and I am proud to say he was using a nice fat red worm!

I love trout fishing - period. I'd rathe catch a nice rainbow on an elk-hair caddis than on a spinner, but I will, at times, throw an inline for kicks.

When I do, I like the 1/32 ounce Panther Martin.

The best trout fishing I ever experienced was in the upper reaches of the Thompson in Rocky Mountain National Park. They were begging folks to keep small brookies... and those rascals would hammer a Royal Wulf.

Don't be hatin' on the mighty roostertail, especially when it's trailing a power maggot.....
