Prep before planting loblolly question

I ordered a couple thousand seedlings to plant as a buffer where a field edge borders a dirt road. I will be planting in February, but wondering what and when to spray with for prep. Appreciate any advice.

Before stuff goes dormant for the winter so I would spray asap

glyphosate adequate, or total vegetation control? Don't know if can get Arsenal

It's a little late for herbicide prep at this point.
Just plat them in the field and address any herbaceous control needs next spring.
