Up in NoDak for two weeks: This just in….

We had three labs quartering in front of us this year. Only one had experience. They rarely flushed in advance of us and learned quickly what their role was. They never pointed but the looked good when they got birdy. Next year they will be special.

It helped take some energy off by duck hunting in the morning and upland in the afternoon. PS. they have to be fed 3 times a day.

I believe the middle bird with the coyote is a prairie chicken. Straight bars vs the Vs on the sharptail.

You are correct! Thanks for pointing that out. So, four species of kick-em-up fun. This haul, along with a spring turkey, is going to be our Thanksgiving meal this year. Pretty excited to cook all this up different ways. Anyone want to drop some Sharptail, prairie chicken, and pheasant recipes, I’d appreciate it.
