    Default Big Game Hunting Packs

So getting some information together figured I would ask those that have done it before.

What items would you have to have in your packs on a big game trip. Everything from the knives to the compass and different types of optics (specs on the optics if you don't mind as well). Even the type of pack you prefer to carry.....
“Duck hunting gives a man a chance to see the loneliest places …blinds washed by a rolling surf, blue and gold autumn marshes, …a rice field in the rain, flooded pin-oak forests or any remote river delta. In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965

Are you hunting from the truck or spiking in?

Everything you would want to take with you aside from a sleeping bag, tent, rifle and scope. So it could be either from truck or from having to hike and pack out an animal.

Here's my list, and this doesn't change from mule deer to sheep(except for the tarp). Went through a few packs but no plans in changing from the stone glacier 5900 with the xcurve frame.
    TRIPOD(nightforce CF
    black diamond poles
    KOWA SPOTTER
    SWARO RF BINOS 10x42
    FLASHLIGHT -FENIX
    superglue
    electrical tape/piece of copper wire
    leatherman
    waterproof lighter
    water bottle
    battery pack/charger(ANKER)
    para cord
    medicines
    kifaru sheep tarp
    TP/body whipes
    Havalon/xtra blades/gamebags
(forgive the spelling, its from my packing spreadsheet)

That is what I am looking for thanks. Anyone else with a list throw it at me and see what everyone takes with them. Thanks for the info!

I have the EXO 4800 with the curve frame. Love it.

Kill kit; game bags, knife, gerber saw with wood and bone blade, sharpener, contractor bag/tarp
Emg/first aid; skin stapler, tourniquet, bandage material, triple antibiotic ointment, oral pain meds, oral broad spectrum antibiotics
Besides food, tent, sleeping bag/quilt, camp pillow etc, a good set of trekking poles are nice to have and, this is important, a good butt pad for long glassing sits as well as a shade tarp.

Nice to have but not "needed", a small camp chair from Klymit. Game changer to be able to sit down and actually lean back.

Oh, and camp shoes so you can take your boots off and air some socks out.

ETA; this is in addition to a lot of the stuff Buckpro listed as well.

Do not overlook the first aid stuff. No need to go overboard with it but have the supplies to get you back to the truck in an emergency.

The two lists above are good. Only thing I can think of adding is a steripen for water.

A pair of crocs are really nice after a long day of hiking around in heavy boots.

    water filtration/purification for sure.

I don't own crocs but the guys I've hunted with who do take them have a love hate relationship with them because of the holes and dealing with the western dust that comes through and onto their feet/socks.

Now that I reread that I think you’re owning other flaws. I concur.

Always bring two deli sandwiches, because the first one will be eaten by daylight.

Don't make me list 'em. JAB would need to buy more server space and he'd make me pay for it.

A pack of Walkers followed by veehickles with more antennae than an anthill if you are asking most of this crowd.

And I had to look down to make sure I wasn't currently wearing crocs. Nope. Going to the Doctor so I went all out with the Olukai's.
