Almost forgot how much fun it is this time of year. Huge schools, clear shallow water, eat'n up my little flies. Makes me wonder why I started duck hunting.

Boondiggler,

Not sure if you want rod/reel info or type of flies so I'll shoot for both.

Rod: Blank was designed for 7 weight line. It was a prototype 4 piece that never got manufactured so there are only a handful of them. I finished it myself so we'll call it a "Swipa Signature Series"
Reel: Ross (Good quality for redfish. Not overbuilt or overpriced and prolly not for anyone with a pastel shirt)
Flies: I mostly use olive/white clousers without much lead since the water is shallow and your are trying not to blow a school that might have several hundred fish in it. They tie up quick and cheap. At first or last light, though, I'll usually throw some kind of spun deer hair topwater fly. Seeing a redfish try to eat a topwater is funny stuff since they have an inferior mouth.
