On Sunday, September 11th, 2022 at approximately 1228 hours, SERGEANT ETHAN NEAL was notified by Habersham 911 Dispatch that a caller from Sirius XM service had been pinging a vehicle per the request of Athens-Clarke County Police Department in reference to attempting to locate a missing person. The caller from SiriusXM advised Dispatch that they had been attempting to locate the vehicle, and believed it to have stopped or
pulled over in the area of GA 15 Northbound, in the area of Victory Home Lane, Clarkesville GA 30523.

The vehiclewas identified as a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica, black in color, bearing GA tag # CMQ9309. The missing person wasidentified as DEBORRAH TODD COLLIER (DOB 09/02/1963).

SGT. NEAL requested OFFICER DAKOTA FOSTER (Tallulah Falls PD) to be en route to the area to attempt to makecontact. A short time later, SGT. NEAL was notified by FOSTER that he had located the vehicle, SGT. NEAL responded to the scene.

While en route, SGT. NEAL contacted the Athens-Clarke County Police Department and spoke with SERGEANT JOHNSON. JOHNSON advised SGT. NEAL the circumstances of the missing person`s incident, and informed him that they had been attempting to ping COLLIER`S cell phone throughout the night. JOHNSON also advised SGT.
NEAL that the last communication from COLLIER was to her daughter. He advised that COLLIER had used Venmo to send approximately $2,300.00 to her daughter, with a message that stated something to the effect of (they won`t let me go, there is a key to the house underneath a flower pot). Upon SGT. NEAL`S arrival, he observed the vehicle parked in what appeared to be a pulloff that leads to an old logging road, directly off of GA 15 Northbound, prior to Victory Home Lane. SGT. NEAL was notified by FOSTER that he had observed this vehicle in the same spot at approximately 1700 hours on 09/10/2022, but informed SGT.
NEAL that vehicles routinely pull into this area. FOSTER also advised SGT. NEAL that the vehicle was unlocked, and was unoccupied. FOSTER also stated that he had walked into the woodline a short distance to see if he could immediately locate COLLIER, but was unable to do so. SGT. NEAL requested Lee Arrendale Correctional Institute K9 (LACI K9) to be en route to the scene. SGT. NEAL also requested Georgia State Patrol Aviation (GSP Aviation) to be en route. A short time later, Dispatch informed

SGT. NEAL that LACI was unable to respond due to the unavailability of a K9, and was advised that GSP Aviation would be en route. SGT. NEAL requested DEPUTY BLAKE FORRESTER to be en route to attempt to locate COLLIER. While on scene awaiting the arrival of FORRESTER, COLLIER`S daughter, AMANDA BEARDEN arrived on scene
in a histerical state. BEARDEN began screaming that the vehicle belonged to her mother. (BEARDEN was notified
by Athens-Clarke County PD that the vehicle was being pinged by Sirius XM and provided her with the
approximate location of the latest ping.) SGT. NEAL and FOSTER spoke briefly with BEARDEN asking general
questions in reference to COLLIER`S mental health state, and briefly about her medical history. BEARDEN
advised SGT. NEAL and FOSTER that her mother did not have any history of any mental health issues, and denied
any suicidal tendencies. She also stated that her mother had a bad back, and couldn`t have walked far.
While speaking with BEARDEN, FORRESTER arrived on scene. SGT. NEAL briefed FORRESTER on the incident
and requested that he deploy his K9 to attempt to locate COLLIER.
FORRESTER deployed his K9 and began searching for COLLIER, accompanied by SGT. NEAL, and FOSTER.
During the track, SGT. NEAL allowed FORRESTER to stay approximately 25 - 30 feet ahead of him, while he and
FOSTER scanned the woods for any sign of COLLIER.
As FORRESTER proceeded South / South East through the woods, FORRESTER called out to SGT. NEAL that he
had located an item. SGT. NEAL and FOSTER quickly approached FORRESTER. SGT. NEAL observed a red tote
bag laid on it`s side near an uprooted tree. At the root ball of the tree, SGT. NEAL observed what appeared to be
the remains of a fire. As SGT. NEAL approached the fire, he looked further down the embankment. SGT. NEAL
observed what appeared to be a partially burnt blue in color tarp. As he looked further down the embankment
from the tarp, he observed a nude female laying on her back, grasping a small tree with her right hand. SGT.
NEAL approached the female, immediately observing her to be obviously deceased, and identifying her as
COLLIER. SGT. NEAL observed COLLIER`S remains to be apparently burned with what appeared to be charring to
    her abdomen.
SGT. NEAL instructed FORRESTER to hold the immediate area while he returned to his patrol vehicle to make the
appropriate calls for assistance, and to establish a crime scene.
SGT. NEAL returned to his patrol vehicle, established a crime scene using crime scene tape around the immediate
area of the vehicle, and began a crime scene log at approximately 1506 hours. At this time, CORPORAL ANDRA

HOUSTON (KTRK) - Police say a 2-year-old boy was found dead inside an SUV that was stolen after his father was fatally shot during an argument.

The incident reportedly started about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday with an argument between the toddler’s 38-year-old father and another man at a shopping center in Houston.

The boy’s father was shot several times in the chest, killing him. The gunman then drove off in the father’s SUV.

Police say they didn’t know a child was inside the stolen vehicle until a woman called in a missing persons report for her husband and 2-year-old child at 6:36 p.m.

About 30 minutes later, investigators found the SUV with the 2-year-old dead inside.

Police believe the toddler died from being left in a hot vehicle, saying he may have been in the car since about 2 p.m. Temperatures reportedly reached highs in the mid-90s.

The suspect is still at large.

The Collier murder is a very horrific crime indeed. Clarksville is (was) a nice , rural mountain town. I hope they solve it quickly.

We are going to that area for a wedding Saturday.
