Tater I am not too sure a 4' tall Benman is the best example to use to explain your super tall corn crop

Can we talk about people who want shelled corn in a Drum? Almost as dumb as putting cob corn in a super sack, almost…….

Funny, I keep my corn in barrels. Shelled. I love it. Keeps out the rats. I can drop a bug tablet in it and not have to worry about weevils. I can move a lot of it with a dolly and not worry about throwing my back out throwing bags...

I can even pull it all to a stand and dip from there if I wanted to and avoid storing it in the barn or shed.

    I dont see many downsides.

As soon as a barrel gets mentioned I immediately assume someone wants a “deal”. In addition to that it’s a pain in the ass to load.

Barrel holds 7-8 bags. I am a prolific corn-er. That's like peeing in the ocean

I put them on a trailer. go to the farm. plug auger in. Move auger to fill each barrel. Pull home. Park trailer. Use dollys to remove barrels if I need trailer. Dip corn as I need it or move the entire barrel to the stand so I dont have to tote buckets.

I am using last years corn right now so I am paying last years prices or $5/barrel, or trade catfish filets for corn with a side a bonus of hunting access.
