Just checking in to see what is going on. Things have really been picking up here the last couple of weeks. Anything in the flats yet on top-water?

Haven't heard much Shelben, but I also haven't been... The last time I was down there the flats were stagnant. Need some god fresh water in there..

Mirroman, sorry I missed you when we were down there. We had a blast. Put about 20 hours on the boat and never got skunked when we went out. Didn't pile them up like Jody and the boys were but I still felt good about putting some on the boat. I may try to sneak down there one weekend when/if the rock start to hit on top water. My wife and I are planning on making it down for the Tracy's Camp fund raiser so maybe we will see you then. Jody, have you been doing any good lately? The bite up here has really turned on the past couple of weeks. People have been tearing the kings up just off the beach. Wish you could make it up to fish some with us.

yes, andy caught 16 rockfish today, stevy caught three and i caught 1. stevy nailed the big fish award today with a 53 pound flathead cat. his customers loved him for that one. i caught a 150 quart coller full of blue cats and some small flatheads. stevy caught the one i lost the day before.

Are ya'll catching them in the same place the same way? What is the word on the mayflies? I finally figured out the fly pattern the brim down at the end of the street at Chris's would hit and had a blast catching them this weekend. I may try to bring the fly rod down there when the flys start to hatch and give it a try.
