Progress alone accomplished that. Not freaking bureaucratic government bullshit.

Some day they’ll likely have trucks and cars that make our current vehicles look like toys.

    I don’t know if that’s 5 years from now or 50.

Ford (and GM) will probably sell electric trucks as fast as they can make them. If you are a local contractor just going back and forth around town, it would be pretty desirable to get about 60+ mpg equivalent as long as the cost doesn't get too far out of line with regular trucks.

Agreed, just gonna need a shit ton of horses and hoofing it like we are in 1901 before it all comes to fruition because there is no chance we can go electric until a shitload of nuke plants come online. South Carolina will be the very last to get there...

No doubt. CA can’t run their grid now when it just gets hot. Lithium battery manufacturing will need a huge boost and hopefully a big influx of US companies as well. Also, what to do with old batteries? I wonder if the green earthers have any idea what lithium mining does to Mother Earth? I like the concept, but it’s simply not viable now on the scale of gas cars.

Takes a lot of other metals as well. Silver gonna be one used a ton....

No doubt. If folks understood how much bad it takes to get the good, we could literally slow this bitch to a crawl and live likes it's 1999. Yeah, don't forget about Prince with all this future nonsense....

Who stands to get rich if electric becomes more popular/prevalent/viable?

    Who stands to lose?
