Damn. I came to post that I had googled SCDMV locations this morning. Your story is a wee bit more poignant. Sheesh. Glad you made it home…

I bet that DMV forgot to post their "NO Weapons" sign at the entrance.

If they had ,this wouldn't have happened.

Probably payback, some buck that he roughed up way back.

Glad everyone made it out alive.

Coincidences ain't coincidences when Jesus is involved, brother. Glad you're okay, and prayers for all involved.

Police presence was unbelievable along 26 when we rolled through there about 230pm. Berkeley County deputies with rifles on the shoulder of interstate. Really impressive how they loaded up that perimeter with that much force. Saw a few deputies take a position on a DOT construction truck

The only reason they have that is because the Magistrate's Court is in the same building. If that was not there, the security wouldnt be either.

DMV is always packed at title and registration office. I do all that on line now so i dont have too go there. The line is long, the agents are usually assholes, and most of the patrons either dont have all their documents or are trying to pull off some kind bullshit . does SC not have online registration. Even renewed my DL online.

I was a little shaky for 4-5 hours after, but It’s all good. I really didn’t understand the seriousness of the situation until after I got home. During the event, I went into trauma mode- call 911, try to help the victim, keep people calm, etc. I have either a talent or a curse not to go stupid in an emergency but to help. Afterwords, during the adrenaline dump, then I fall out, lose my mind, get sick, then give thanks to God that I wasn’t hurt.
