    Default Prayers for Melody

Asking for prayers for Melody and her family. Melody was the first guest Emily’s House hosted. She was diagnosed with DiPG at age 13 and has fought it for over two years. Everything seemed to be going well. Suddenly she was complaining of back pain and had become nauseated, lethargic and partial paralysis. MRI’s revealed that the cancer had spread very aggressively down her spine which is rare but not unheard of. The family made the decision to bring her home and enter hospice. This child has days to a week or so. If y’all get a moment lift them in prayer.

Leslie, the mom and Emily were very close friends. This one is a gut punch for me. I’ve tried to maintain a distance from the families we help, it’s impossible. You hear the stories, break bread with them, witness to them, meet the kids. It’s humbling and changes your perspective.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Lifting her family up in prayer this morning, and praying for you Salty, as you serve the Lord. Praying that He would bless you immensely and give great comfort to Melody and her family.

The older I get the harder this news hits. Praying for comfort for this family.
Listen to your elders. Not because they are always right but because they have more experiences of being wrong.

Adding our prayers for her, her family, and you... Agree with whats posted above you are doing a hell of a good thing and I am sure it opens up the same wounds every time...Not sure I could do it.

Mark, I feel the same as the others that have already posted. The work you are doing with Emily's House is truly amazing. And while I'm sure this work stirs painful memories for you and the boys at times I hope that you find comfort in knowing that Emily is watching and so proud of you guys.
Sincerest prayers sent for Melody, her family and friends and to you as you continue this important work.
