    Years void of info doesn’t give credible accounts to the projection of this.

    I’m friends w a guy who planted a refuge on his own time because the gov shutdown wouldn’t allow him to be paid to do it. Had he not done that - future migrations would be affected. Covid took its toll on us as sportsmen in the big picture as well. Aside from missing number counts from fws over these past years, our tax dollars and federal funding saw loopholes to slip in that formerly were advantageous to outdoorsman. From employees who manually worked sluice gates to counting ducks. Aquaculture and the relationship to waterfowling was hit with a lack of gov support via employee work at home orders. Money bro..

    Very good points. 20 year lows and we’re still in liberal framework. I’m sure it’s all based on duck numbers and data though, and not money…..

    Since WODU (wood ducks P=1) it looks like the Atlantic Flyway will get a Liberal season next year but...unless someone puts their thumb on the scale, the Mississippi and Central Flyways will have a 45 day/6 bird season for 2023-24...

    Well, someone put their thumb on the scale...big time...like, it ain't even close...

    They switched the pond inputs from just the Canadian Prairie pond count to total pond count and re-calculated the matrix. Notice how many more times the "L" option appears on the new matrix compared to the old one? We will hunt ducks into oblivion but at least Honey Break guides will get to do what they love for another couple of years.
