    It’s coming along good on both lakes!
    Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

    I heard they’re lowering the lake 5 feet starting in October to try and kill the grass. I’m not sure about the validity of that though.

    Looks like it's becoming a "nuisance", aka, terminology for native submergent vegetation that are thriving, not palatable by grass carp and need to be eradicated.

    I talked with a Santee Cooper employee recently, and it really sounded like their big concern is the giant salvinia and how aggressive it has gotten. Maybe their focus on that is letting some submerged aquatics get a better foothold.
