Default Can am defender won’t start

2018 HD 5. It turns over but won’t run.

Oil level is fine, fuel pump is working. Ran fine yesterday.

    Any ideas?

I’ll have to wait until I can get the right sockets tomorrow to check.

Was hoping someone would have that “duh” fix for me. I have the mechanical inclination of soft cheese.

Not aware that it has any kill switch. It’s a side by side, not a four wheeler.

Not dumb. It will start in gear with foot on the brake. I’ve tried in gear and In park.

    Plenty of fuel.

Fuses look good. Don’t have a way to check relay

Pull air filter out and put hand over intake and see if it will start that way.

Bingo here. Oil smells like gas and is thin/drippy.

What’s this gonna cost me? Be gentle.

If you got an extra spark plug, you can just connect to it and hit the start to see if it's getting fire.

Fuel injected. Replace plug. Check for spark. If it fires. Shut it off and change oil. So much gas has been injected it has gotten past rings into oil.

Thank you. Another friend of mine called and said the same thing. Will pick up the stuff tomorrow and get it all squared away Saturday.

By all means change the spark plugs/ensure you have spark. I’m thinking you’re going to need to change the oil before it will run. I think the issue is cylinder wash. Too much gas in oil will kill compression. It’s usually caused by running the machine for short intervals. Could be an injector. Nevertheless, if that’s the issue the first step would be to change the oil.
