    Default FYI, UTV bill

Asked someone at IOP about UTV’s and they sent me a link to this bill

Would be nice if it was clarified , regardless of what you have to do

I carry full coverage on my Ranger so no big deal either way to me

Register it so they can tax it

No tax of any kind on it.....per the language in the bill.

It will keep children from driving them and thieves from stealing them.

It doesn't affect me. I do not own one.

I’ve been meaning to ask about this. I guess it went to the senate and will now die?

I drive my gator down the county and state roads as needed to run my cattle. Fuck the .gov as I have a SMV triangle and McMaster just signed a bill protecting farmers from property tax on farm use property.

    That’s my stance.

That one is pretty clear cut and dry and I agree completely with you

My only problem is you can not get a consistent answer from LEO’s on SXS on road

I do see some golf carts at IOP that have a tag on them for some reason, baffles me. I know they have to be on roads 35 or less but every road on IOP and SIL is 35 or less

Just another reason I like living in the country. I use my side by side to go to town as much, if not more, than my truck. No one bats an eye. Heck, even the LEOs out our way ride them to the store. They’ll wave at you when you pass unless you are doing something stupid.

Great. The golf cart/vehicle paradigm barely works, now we want to mix in offroad bikes capable of going 70+ mph?

this bill is for The city boys that drive f250 diesels to their office job and take the UTV to the “farm” on fall weekends that don’t have an oyster roast or football game.

The"golf carts" with tags now I believe are technically "low speed vehicles", at least that's what the tags say on them. I think this gives them more leeway with where they can go (road speeds, distance from residence, etc...). All the buggies I see with low speed vehicle tags have brake lights, seatbelts, turn signals, etc...

Many townships and gated communities especially country club and beach areas, allow golf carts but they have to have brake lights, seat belts, and anything else to make them road worth. Like the new law they also require the owner to have liability insurance and a tag on the cart.

Looks like tagged low speed vehicles can operate at night and go further than the 4 mile from residence

What town are you riding too that York county doesn’t bat an eye? Maybe Sharon or Smyrna?
