    Default Little excitement Saturday

Wife and I were as in the camper when the storm came up with a few rumbles of thunder then the camper started shaking back and forth for about 10 seconds. Thought it was going to turn over. Next came a big bang as the lights went out. Looked out the door but it was raining so hard you couldn't seen out. Rain let up finally. Power lines down on the camper, shop, and yard. The She shed took the worst hit.

Glad to hear you guys weren't hurt.

Is that the bottom end of an oak tree in the middle of the last pic? That looks like it would have hurt... bad.

At least you got some potentially nice juniper/cedar poles out of it if you feel like trimming those trees in the first pic.

That's pretty close call from a tornado especially with that tall radio tower that close.

A buddy sent me a picture of a waterspout forming over Ft. Sumter Sunday. A couple weeks ago, my wife came running in the house looking for binoculars. I followed her back down to the beach and saw a bank of clouds just offshore that had four spouts hanging out of it. Two reached the water.

Yeah that is the bottom of an oak laying on top of another even bigger oak . I think that is what took down the power lines as none of our trees hit the lines. I got more labor in that she shed than it cost, wiring, lighting, hvac, insulation, and paneling with trim. She liked it. You can replace all that stuff.

Glad to see the turtles made it through. Could have been much worse.
