    Default Newfoundland moose hunt.

    A spot just opened up on a moose hunt I have booked October 2 - 9. A friend of mine is dealing with some health issues and won't be able to make it. He has already paid the deposit so the balance will be 6K. I did this trip last year and shot a good bull. Archery or rifle plus a chance at a good bear. Helicopter fly in or a long argo ride to a remote base camp. The outfitter is a good honest guy with some great hunting ground.     I just sent my deposit in to the camp I use for 2023. New Foundland moose hunting is fun, and probably the cheapest and most convenient way to hunt moose. Someone should have a good time and get some really good meat.

    This is peak rut. The bulls should be coming in great this week. The meat is delicious and there obviously is lots of it.

    I’ve seen pictures of a few 40”, but never seen one in person up there in my two trips.

    Enjoy yourself Newfies are a real friendly lot! I've seen some pretty big Eastern moose over the decades but I'd like to go for the Alaska/Yukon big boys before I croak! Or after for that matter I guess. They are all big when you've got one down.
