    Default Deep dropping

I need an electric reel setup. I know nothing about deep dropping. Something for 500-600 feet. No swordfish. I don't want to spend $3000+ but I don't want a piece of junk, either. I've been looking at the Shimano Beastmaster. Recommendations, please.

The Beastmaster is a solid value. The LP is worth every penny.

Get a Banax 1000. I’ve researched them all and that is what I am getting. Fortunately, somebody let me borrow one for next week so I can report back. The components are suppose to be night and day different than their competitors. Different story when you get into those high dollar ones like Hooker and such. But those are 4 or 5x the price.

Thanks. I'd like to hear how it performs.

Tanacom is fine set up. Precision or Electramate have caught a lot of fish for us too.

The counter and autostop is nice.
