    Thanks… the shadows and depth were the hardest part. I had to go back and watch some Bob Ross on YouTube… then set up my decoys and a spotlight to figure out the shading. I have another week before I have to submit it.

    7 x 10 in a 9 x 12 Matt.. not sure. I guess I could gets prints made

    Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I think I’ll drop the waterline a bit and bring out more reflections. I was trying to capture early season with the green, but it does seem to take away from the ducks. Getting the grass and reflections right is a pain so that will make it easier.     I think the definition in the head looks better from 08/05-08/06. Either way it is a wonderful piece

    Thanks for the feedback… yes you are correct. This is my first time attempting to paint ducks and I learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t. I should have a much stronger entry next year. I haven’t done a lot of painting so this was good experience…. Chainsaw sculpture is what I’m most experienced in. I’m going to keep at it. Thanks again for all the feedback.
