Neat stuff to see for sure, looks great! Question - have all of the different versions we have seen been on that same original canvas or have you done the painting several different times?

Same canvas.. I keep sanding it down and adding layers when I realize the proportions are off or if I change my mind on the the background. I add gesso layers so I have a smooth surface to work on.

If I could just do what you've shown there I'd sign it and hang it on a wall.

Thank you. I still have a long way to go… there are some talented artists that enter every year. The Hautman brothers have serious skills. https://www.fws.gov/story/2021-11/20...ontest-winners. Last year was my favorite.

BS, you’d paint it on a tin bucket you found on the side of the road and sell that shit for bank on Pinterest or Etsy. Or both.

After I tied some burlap to it and filled the bucket with tiny LED lights and rusty barb wire.

This is pretty cool seeing the whole process. You should do the paintings and Rubberhead should do the photos and writing for the scducks cookbook

actually, now that I look at it on the screen, I need to fix tone on the hen and fade a bit so she looks a further away...probably add a glaze and sand it lightly. I don't have too many pics of a gw hen ...basically looks like a small mallard hen with green on wing correct?
