    Why didn't you ventilate the Sable?

    Good question - they are expensive. Everything in Africa has a price tag. And, they really don't seem like they'd be hard to hunt. Sable and Tsessebe would have been very, very easy to hunt. I think their price tag protects them more than their own wit.

    The hardest things to hunt, to me, would seem to have been buffalo, bush buck, then kudu. I never saw a Klipspringer although I did see their tracks. I saw several bush buck ewes but no rams. I only saw one shooter Kudu bull. So, hunting them would have been a challenge.

    Watching safari videos, I feel very fortunate to have gotten within 100 yards of the gnu, zebra and impala. There are a lot of videos where folks have to shoot their zebras at 300+ yards. I lucked into the perfect place based on the limitations of my gun.
