    I hope you’re getting a rug made. I like it better than my zebra rug.

    I have enjoyed this. I know that I won’t ever get to hunt there but I feel like I’m right there. And I appreciate the humbleness instead of the ego most commonly seen in the hunting industry.

    Yes, actually. Big John talked me into it. I'm getting the hides of both the brindled gnu and zebra tanned in Africa and shipped here. The PH showed me how thick the skin on a zebra is. I'm sure it's because they fight and bite so much. It's actually a good bit cheaper to tan the gnu than the zebra, I guess because the skin is thinner.

    Big John also tried to talk me into getting the zebra skull bleached. I didn't do that since who wants to see a horse skull on someone's desk. Funny, though, because I may be starting to regret it. The fangs on the male zebras are pretty cool.

    I just googled images of zebra skulls...I'm back to not regretting it...
