    Default Spoons for strippers

I have been watching some videos and have others tell me they do well with stripers with the big jigging spoons (parker spoons )

Picked up a few of them and going to give it a try

Any tips or videos to show me what to do

I assume just find fish and drop down spoon and jig up and down like we done offshore before ?

Curious if need a fluoro carbon leader on just tie straight to braid

In my experience braid to any kind of spoon is not a fun time. You’ll spend more time getting it out of the hook than if you use a mono or flouro leader.

I use the magnum spoons for bass, I normally cast them out and lead them down with a semi tight line. You’ll feel it flutter the whole way down. If you’re wanting to drop straight down to deep water, a jigging style spoon may be a bit better suited for what you’re wanting to do.

Keep the spoon above them. If they are 30 ft deep,....stop it about 3 ft above them.

What catdaddy said. And floro to a swivel then another 18” of floro to the spoon. I’ve never used them on stripers but they catch the hell out of largemouth on ledge lakes
Seeing these soulless vanilla ice lookin Yankees on a bassboat is worse than watching a woman get her implants taken out. It's just wrong. Get back in your Lund and go back to infisherman.

With inflation, those $1's don't get you much anymore. Maybe they'll work during the daytime shift.

You dont know strippers too well, they either like meth or pills/heroin nowadays.spoons and glass roses are worth more than dollar bills.

It'll depend on the time of year as well. When it's real cold I do pretty well with shad size spoons.

Look up the Old Fisherman. He has a couple videos. You donít want to tie directly to braid. You will spend half your time untying knots like mentioned before.
