    Default Elvis movie

Wife and I doing date night tonight, nice dinner and a movie

She is wanting to see the new Elvis movie (we both are Elvis fans )

    Anyone seen it yet ??

Funny thing is, we got to talking and outside of kids movies when our kids were young neither of us can recall me going to a movie since the original Batman movie in 1989. Guess since VHS/DVD/PPV I just always watch them at home

Saw the previews for Elvis when we went to Top Gun. Looked fairly interesting.

Well, it was ok Guy did a great job playing Elvis but to me it rambled on and skipped around a lot.

Tad bit long too , but never realized BB King had such and influence on Elvis

Was really hoping she would have wanted to go see Maverick instead but Wife enjoyed it and that was all that matters

Still there will never be another like Elvis.

Still remember heading to HS football practice in August that year and hearing on radio Elvis died. Then couple months later Skynyrd’s plane crashed 1977 rough year

I like some Elvis, particularly his Christmas album from the early 70’s.

When I went to Legends in 1995 in MBSC and “Elvis” began, women began standing, shouting and lifting their hands above their head. It was like I was back in the AOG church.

Did learn a lot, did not realize that “come back” show he did was supposed to be a Christmas show (famous show where he wore black leather outfit )

Naturally main plot was about Elvis and his relationship w Col Parker.

I will say this, IF you are an Elvis fan (as we are and most anyone our generation ) it is worth seeing

It was good. Incredibly depressing for the second half

We saw it. Better half is from Tupelo. Enjoyed it. Some poetic license taken by Hollywood, of course. Well worth the $10.

Noted the comment about the second half of the movie being sad. Elvis had a difficult life for a man who become so famous.

My Mom loved Elvis. My Dad took her anywhere she wanted to see him in concert.

She was proud to be able to tell her friends she threw her panties to Elvis at The Omni in Atlanta and in Vegas too. My Dad could sing real well and learned to do a pretty great impression of Elvis. Don’t remember him having a white leather suit in his closet, but I wouldn’t be surprised
