Default Nissan exiting f/s pickup market

Nissan Titan Pickup Will Disappear in a Few Years, Report Says
Nissan isn't admitting to anything just yet, but the Titan has always faced an uphill battle.

Imported full-size pickup trucks have never been able to capture the outright insane sales figures that their domestic competitors have enjoyed for years on end. For some automakers, that means returning to the drawing board and trying to find unique advantages. For others, it may just spell the end, after years of trying and coming up short.

Thus, Nissan will stop selling the Titan full-size pickup in the next few years, Automotive News reports, citing sources familiar with the decision. That source told AN that Nissan is deciding whether to end the Titan's lifecycle for the 2024 or 2025 model year, which means it could be discontinued as early as the end of next year.

Full sized pickup truck sales - Q1 2022

    1. General Motors - 177,724
    2. Ford - 140,701
    3. Stellantis (Ram). - 127,116
    4. Toyota - 22,643
    5. Nissan. - 6,415

They missed a great opportunity with the Cummins XD. Had they got it right, well, they didn't.

I'm surprised that Toyota only sold a little over 22,000. They're supposed to be the best there is, was or will be.

I have a buddy with 2 of the Titan XD model diesel trucks and he loves them. I've seen him pull some stuff that I never thought it would.

Surely that number is at least in thousands. 22,000= 220,000. Maybe I’m wrong though. Just seems low.

Pulling stuff isn't that hard. It's stopping the stuff your pulling.
