    Default Tacoma mpg

What are some real world numbers for mileage out of a 2012-2019 Tacoma crew cab 4x4. Considering one to run around in but curious how the mileage is in one compared to a full size. Thanks

I have a 2013 Tacoma 4x4 off road that’s lifted a couple inches and I average right at 19 in it.

Just get a full size truck. A Tacoma is a teenagers vehicle. Touching elbows with the other fella riding shotgun gets pretty queer past the age of 21.

Unless you’re dead set on a Tacoma, consider a full-size. I have a 2016 F150 with the 5.0. I get 21-22mpg on the interstate and 18 mpg average in town.

    I've got a 2013 Tacoma, 4x4, 4 door. I'd say 15-17 city, around 20 highway. It's an awesome truck.

Then you tell the passenger seat fella to get his arm off the center console or get his own truck.

That’s what I was scared of. Wish I could find a Hi-lux that wasn’t insanely priced.

It really makes no sense that the little trucks get the same mileage as the full size.

It’s a Toyota, it get a LOT better mileage than the full size. Tundra owners are simply too ashamed to tell what kinda mileage they really get.

    2021 Tundra. I get 17mpg consistently. But I don’t drive over 55 anywhere and I don’t have asshole tires

2018.. I might get 12ish around town, 16 highway was the best I got. But I never really drive anywhere or pay that much attention. Mine is like 4 years old and has forty something thousand miles. I'm probably putting leather seats in it this year. In a few years if the new ones get all ironed out with those new engines I might buy one, they look slightly feminine right now though. If not I'll keep mine for as long as we're using fossil fuels.

I bought mine with intentions of my next truck being electric because there are no more vehicles that aren’t

Basically the same here. They quit making my color too, kinda sealed it. I do want an older cooler gas ride though. Maybe a defender 90, something like that in a few years.

A Tacoma won't get better milage than a full size 2018 GMC.

    15 around town

20.5 on interstate with cruise on 78

24.5 with cruise set on 55 mph.

The ones after 2016 have a miserable shift pattern in the 3.5/auto configuration. If you buy one might as well look into tuning. Had a guy from Charlotte tune the 21 I had. Little better, but not great. My stock trd/off road 4x4 could not hold 6th gear on the interstate with the cruise on. This has a direct impact on hwy mpg in my experience. My typical commute is 95 miles a day with the majority on I26/526. My family was glad to see all 3 of mine leave.
