Not the healthiest thing from my kitchen, and the crust wasn’t perfect, but we ate it.

    That’ll do.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

When it came out the oven all bubbly and steaming, my 93 year old FIL walked in with a bowl and spoon in hand.

He proclaimed it to be " right good" which from him is the equal to a James Beard award .. worth the effort to make it.

They have made a serious crop this year. My place has been loaded with them.

The blackberry cobbler brings back some not so good memories, for me. Well, I guess looking back, it was fun in some ways.

The story...one day in the summer, when I was about 10, or so, my Mom told us boys to go pick some blackberries while she was at work. (I have 5 brothers, no sisters) Well, we picked the blackberries, but it was a long time till she got off work, so we had a blackberry fight under the carport. One of the worst ass-whoopings we ever got came along shortly. And, that blackberry mess was really hard to clean up.

They both are too good to judge which is better. I would eat some of both.
