An Amtrak train derailed after hitting a dump truck at a public crossing near Kansas City in Missouri on Monday afternoon around 1:42 p.m.
Multiple casualties were reported and emergency workers are on the scene
The Southwest Chief Train 4 was traveling from Los Angeles to Chicago
Approximately 243 people were onboard at the time of the crash
