Default Upgraded tunes in a standard cab

Son is looking to upgrade the sound in his truck. Doesn’t need to thump but I think a 10” or so sub would go behind the seat.
    Anybody got any insight?

I know for a fact 2 12s in separate truck boxes will go behind the seat. Also get a 2in hole saw bit and port the box. He’ll have the girls squirming in the passenger seat!!!

Right on. He has more room than most behind the seat too, because he's my child.

Yes it was my dad's. Boltforty5 has taken it and done good things with it. New KRT crate motor, got it painted, completely new front suspension, grille, both bumpers, tires - and he's funded about 90% of all that. Interior is next. Ol' man would be proud of it.

And I have not banned my child. Yet.
He's actually working at Simpsonville ACE at the moment...

    What up Bolt!

An 8" bazooka with built in amp is the most economical for the most thump while taking up the least amount of space.
Rogers stereo still open off woodruff? That's where I would start.

I used to build boxes for the less fortunate and Rogers would give me air specs for the specific speakers. Of course this was the early 90's. Imagine a bunch has changed since then. The only thing I need a good sound in is a boat these days.

Go ahead and do it “right”. Two JL Tw3’s. Less than a cubic foot a sub and made for shallow enclosures.

I sure miss my old trio of 12” w6’s. Had them on a Memphis 1,000d. Dang I feel old.
