I'm a PC alumni, there are several on here. I'm fairly certain that was an empty promise. I would be absolutely shocked if that came to fruition. I don't know what tuition is there now but my guess is that it would be around half give or take.

Only thing I learned at PC was how to drink and smoke like a pro.

Carton of lights was $30 and a case of beer was $12. Good times…

We were very impressed with AU. I hope that's where she ends up.

Tuition is about 54K/yr now. So roughly half is what was promised. I have feeling it's not a empty promise... completely. There's too much backlash to be had. As I said before I think all the applications that show Girls State for 2022 will be screened heavily and few will be accepted. Just my opinion, but I can certainly be proven wrong.

AU is a great school. I live about 5 mins down the road from the campus.

I have a cousin that works there. She enjoys it a lot. I'm not sure you could go wrong there.

Both my boys went to Boy's State, were Eagle Scouts, played multiple sports in HS, were involved in civic functions, plus had good grades ...All those experiences have served them well.

The more things a kid can stack up on an application looks good, whether applying for college or that first job.
Yep, usually the people nominated to go to Boy's State already have a pretty good resume beforehand, but it doesn't hurt. It looks like it's like joining a black fraternity minus branding now though. Learning and coordinating dances and cheers for a week

My son was there as well. He was apprehensive at first but had a great time in the end.
