Isn’t she entangled with the communist Red for Head movement?

I don't trust any of them... career or not.

I don't know what DT thinks he can just say support this person without giving reason. I've done research on both so we will see what happens.

Not here to debate. Looks as if you aren’t either. I’m not sure what your post is beyond an empty endorsement for a political “friend”.
I wouldn’t want the head of the American Medical Association to not be a doctor. I wouldn’t want the head of the American Dental Association to not be a dentist. I understand this is a political position, so you may say you want a politician to do it, screw that!! I want the opposite. Someone who has been in a classroom, and advocated for students and teachers. I will not be voting for Ellen Weaver.
    That is all.

Kathy Maness. got 30% of primary votes. Supported by Red for Ed, supported by Nanci Pelosi, Mandy Powers Norell, the labor unions, Vice President Harris, the democrat loser in Columbia Mayor race. Social media is encouraging the democrats to vote for her. She represents the status quo. Molly Spearman officially backed Maness as her successor. Maness serves as the executive director of the Palmetto State Teachers Association. She does not support school choice. Supported mask mandates and school closure.

Ellen Weavergot 23% of primary votes. -Weaver is the CEO of the Palmetto Promise Institute and chairwoman of the state Education Oversight Committee. She has support from previous state education superintendents Barbara Nielsen and Mick Zais. Third place winner Travis Bedson endorsed her. Warren supports her. Weaver will have the master’s degree now required by South Carolina law of a superintendent by October before the general election. She supports school choice. Did not support mask mandates and followed Gov McMaster in school openings.

Both candidates suck, one isn’t qualified and the other is a closet liberal. Public education is fucked……

Someone posted this on fb, I haven’t fact checked it but it did raise my eyebrows about Maness

Honestly I can look at Maness and feel like I don't trust her. When I saw she was endorsed by the Post and Courier red flags went off in my head.

All I know is this, republicans have been in charge in SC forever and I know an assload of teachers and not a single one of them are happy. Y’all have fucked education to no end so excuse those of us who don’t want to hear what the fuck you think about any of this.
