Default Boat prop accident at Packs

I was told a woman was thrown from the boat at packs landing Saturday and the prop cut her arm really bad where they had to amputate it.

Don't know the details, but I have seen too many people bow riding and sitting in pedestal seats while underway for this not to be more common. MG

This was in the 70s, after a hunt we pulled up to the old Sparkleberry Landing little sandy area to take our boat out.
There was a man at the landing leaning over in his Jon boat. The boat and everything in it was tore up.
He didn’t bolt his 20 merc to the transom and the motor flipped up hit him in the back and messed all his stuff up.
The man was alright but could have been a lot worse.
