    Default $1.99 brisket

made my normal monday run to kroger to put lunch in my office fridge. keeps me from going to grab lunch every day....

anywho....i saw a stack of briskets and they sometimes put them on sale. they were $1.99/lb today.

    I got two.

couldnt i grind them up into burger? probably be 50/50 beef to fat but...

what the hell else can you do with a brisket? I guess I can freeze one....

wish my car ran on brisket instead of petrol....

Send one to Salty Rob and come up to Bert's place. He does them up right.

    slow cook for tacos/ nachos/ sloppy joes/ pasta/ soup

I've always wanted to do a brisket Sous Vide but I don't have the time or patience to cook something for 2 days.

I would think ground brisket would take too long to cook as a burger. Too much connective tissue that needs cooking to break down.

    Then you saw Fountain Inn.

Only an hour and a half home from there in case whoever was driving didn't answer you...

Brisket makes great burger meat, especially at that price. I like to grind it up and vacuum seal in 1lb packs to mix with my deer burger when making hamburgers. You can't go wrong with whatever you choose.
