I am sorry for the loss. They leave a hole that never really fills back in. It sounds like he was well loved, and had a great life. Sixteen years is a helluva run for a dog. Double blessed.

man hate to hear that. prayers for your family. I wrote a tribute to mine when that time came. almost like a eulogy or obituary. It helped me w the grieving process. I even shared mine in here and that too was helpful. Kinda like this thread here. Hang in there.

We appreciate the prayers men. Yesterday was tough but we know he is much better off this morning. His legs gave out but the smile he gave when we came into the room never did, he had it all the way to the end.

Prayers sent Nick. Like everyone else has said, no matter how long they’re with us, it’s never long enough.

I have been fortunate enough to outlive quite a few. It never is easy and never gets easier. I got lucky and my last passed on my lap in my back yard looking at the lake. Not having to load them up and make that drive is a blessing, but it is also selfish when the end is near or health problems dominate their life. Prayers sent, good luck with the baby. MG

Sorry to hear about Hopkins. Waking up on their last day and counting down the hours until it's time to load up sucks. The next few days will be weird waking up and checking on your dog that isn't there but it'll get better with time
