    I did not invent popcorn ceilings good sir. I do, however, recall making a post about their removal. I did the spray, drywall scraper and vacuum trick and it worked to perfection. Way easier than I thought.....

    Yeah but the problem is quarter inch sheetrock is twice the price of half inch sheetrock

    The trick to taking it off is spraying it with water then using a wide sheetrock knife and walking under it with a trash can. Easy money

    My buddy let me borrow this contraption that he had. You hang a bag on the bottom and put it on a broomstick. Made it really easy and not messy. Looked like this.

    I scraped off the whole house. The reason i didnt use 1/4" sheet rock is i cant finish sheet rock worth a damn so it was easier to scrape it off. Sprayed it with water and let soak it came right off but still a mess. There is usually some shitty sheet rock under the popcorn so you still have some patch work
