I made this comment to someone yesterday.

Talking about someone getting too hot driving a dump truck with no AC. An early 20's kid...fell out because he got too hot, driving.

For fuck's sake. I'd hate to see that lilly ass having to crop a field of tobacco before noon.

Unless you work outside you really have no reason to bitch about the heat.

Did that come off to soft.

actually, we have shut down the course for work... I probably won't play until the weekend if I do. I've got to do a little work in my garden shortly when I can get this slow unloading truck out, then I'm working on putting up some screen at the lake house, and beach clearing.

Big D’s is open Friday and Saturday. Tough to beat them when it comes to a BBQ buffet. There’s a Mexican restaurant in town if you a want cold beer with your meal. There’s a boiled peanut stand across from the Circle K that’s open on Fridays and Saturdays. Hit them up early if you like boiled peanuts.

I thought I done good to make it out of the fields and to the barns. Then realized that racking tobacco sucked worse than cropping. Pushing those racks back in the barn was misery defined. Then you had to rack up all the leaves the croppers had done before your day was done.

Damned good feeling when those doors closed though.

I paid my dues working in the heat when I was was younger. Now that I have a choice, I ain't doing it. Heck I even turned down free golf today because ain't nothing fun when it's over 100F
