Doing it right!

I'm not a big beer drinker but Modelo has become my preferred brand, Negras are better than the Especials. Plus, it freaks out the brittle, racist types when you ask, "Where did I leave my Negra?" Truth be told, I'd probably be drinking the water.

Zing Zang is the best bloody mix out there and I've tried them all.

Tequila gives me scars.

Hot oil makes me nervous. I couldn't put it on a saw horse table around my rowdy friends.

I don't eat a lot of fried anything anymore but I'd be fighting over those bream.

I'm missing the tidy garage gene. Mine is embarrassingly cluttered and disorganized. No way I could let company see it.

Thanks fellas, I really appreciate it. This year was pretty special for us, the same time last year I was a pretty sick guy and it was touch and go whether I would even make it home from the hospital alive. A really bad case of C Diff and Sepsis damn near made my wife a widow. Just thankful to see another year on this earth. I'm 62 going on 12 as my wife likes to say.

A couple of thoughts in no particular order-

Not clearly shown in the refrigerator pic was two bowl of sliced watermelon, the tequila was really good and yes, Zing Zang is the best mixer for Vodka.
There was also an ice cream cake in the freezer. Really good stuff fo sho!

Most of the fish were 1- 1/2lb. farm pond bass filets with a few river bream thrown into the mix.

PB, the hot oil aint no joke. My son that was doing the cooking in the pics had a pot of hot oil spill on his foot while he was wearing sandals and pouring it into a container a few years ago. 2nd degree burns aint no joke. I had just moved to Ballentine at the time and wasn't there to keep an eye on him. If you look closely at the pic, there was a steel chair with arms I slide up to the cook table securely holding the LP bottle and the little prong thingys on the cooker were bent out a little to hold the cook pot firmly in place instead of just sitting loosely on top.( this aint my first rodeo)

A tidy garage is nice but please don't call it a man cave. I can't stand that term, sounds a little too effeminate to me. On a high note, my wife's cousin bought me a 65" flat screen for the garage to replace the little TV I had in there. The dang thing was too big so it went inside the house, the 56" from the house went into the garage and the little one is sitting on a shelf trying to find a new home. Between the bigger TV and the sound bar in the garage, my neighbors get to listen to really good music whether they want to or not.
