Fixed. Hate to see Ditka, one of the toughest men to ever play the game, in that shape. He would still probably kick my ass, but how we live now will have a huge impact on how we live down the road...

I've posted this before but Dad (#67) played High School football with Mike Ditka (#80). Dad killed a record book deer 6 months ago hunting by himself. As far as I know, Mike Ditka did not.

That is a story I hadn't heard. Your old man playing with CMD, not him killing big bucks every 5 minutes. I can't imagine what getting out of bed at 82 after an old school NFL career must feel like.

Dad's slowing down too. He didn't use a climbing stand at all last year but his last remaining OEM joint (one of his hip joints) was giving him a fit. He had that replaced this past spring so I'm hopeful. We'll see. If nothing else, he proved to himself that it's possible to take a record book deer from a fixed stand, something he didn't believe until recently.
