Pretty damn good explanation of what is happening in the world today. Add that to the breakdown of the nuclear family, removal of God from everything, normalization of freaks, lack of self discipline, etc etc and it ain't hard to see this world is going to be in a bad place in the next 30 years.
AND we had fun doing all that rough housing stuff. Nobody was on Adderall, Ritalin, or other mind bending substances. We were usually one with our environment or friends and foes but all the ones we roughed with were just like us for the most part. Kids came to and in my house and I went to their house. We played basketball, tackle football, and baseball in the back yard every day what ever was in season. All were welcome to play at the best of their ability and all accepted.
which parts of that did i miss in the 70s? while I agree technology has made a lot of those things at your fingertips, its a broad brush you're painting with.
its easy to write a book after it happens but whats the quote about causation and correlation? hard to prove but easy to get people to believe you.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
Every generation seems to think the next generation sucks and are going to destroy America but they never mention they were the ones to raise them.
Personally I've known quite a few old folks that weren't worth a shit and I've worked with a bunch of young people who show up everyday to work so they can care for and raise their family.
I hate to sound anything like toofer but the world ain't ending and most young people are going to be fine.

my world is not a court room and I don't need proof beyond a reasonable doubt to understand what makes sense to me.

true. that's inner peace. by any chance do you meditate? have you worked on your breathing techniques?
had an interesting discussion with a professor. he said something about "beliefs vs opinions". one is inate. internal. unwavering. the other is just an opinion of a topic. he made an interesting point about finding an article on the internet that falls in line with your opinion and it becomes belief. he wasnt saying good or bad just human nature and how we go down rabbit holes when the belief is already there its strengthened from opinion due to validation.
i couldnt quite follow all he was saying but i think he teaches a class in this kind of philosophy. I wouldnt mind listening to him one day....

Hell sounds to me like part of the problem is overthinking what we already know to be true.

The end of the clip says the problem is middle class white women, so now we’re back to overthinking what we already know.
