I remember the boys willing to slog through that mud killing the piss out of the ducks during that drought. The fish took a beating with those castnets, too...

I have no idea why they are heading out like this but they were all planted at the same time.

That is peculiar. How consistent is your planter on the depth setting? Does it have a gauge wheel to keep it the same depth each pass? How about post emergent application? Was it consistent?

Does the field slope up towards the tree line?

Just for fun I planted an acre of sweet corn when I planted field corn. Picked some yesterday for the weekend.

The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Got a late start due to having to replant but looking good so far. Thank the Lord for some good rain showers here lately.

All mine tall and headed out. Looks good. Corn crop is bad due to no rain while it was in the milk stage.

I have three fields. All three struggled to come up in certain soils. Drought hurt it. Replanted portions.

So it looks like a crackhead planted. I have some with huge pie heads and some parts that have not yet flowered.
