    Default Starbuck strikers

Other than the excessive price of the coffee, there is another reason to pass on Starbucks. Barristers in a Columbia Starbucks on Millwood are striking to get to vote on being in a union.

I understand that a Starbucks in Greenville has voted for the union.

If they closed every store tomorrow, other than the media bombardment, I would have no way of knowing. In many ways, this is the snake eating its tail. How can an overtly liberal brand, not help its employees organize? MG

The white women would riot. It would be yoga pants and suv/crossovers as far as you could see in every direction. Social media servers would crash. Believe me, you'd know. It'd be the scream heard 'round the world.

They have opened up a new one in a rebuilt Bojangles just up from 2th's place of business. I don't ever see enough cars there to warrant business. I do not know what they are thinking. I drove by the one on Millwood today and noticed the strikers and wondered what they were thinking.

A neighborhood woman at the Millwood tried to explain to a reporter how we needed unions to prevent Saturday work. At Starbucks?

The quality of their coffee has really gone down hill over the past couple years. We’ve been passing Starbucks for local coffee shops lately and the quality and atmosphere is much better.

I roast, grind and brew my own coffee. I can’t remember the last time I paid for an overpriced, shitty cup of coffee at a Starbucks.

The most surprising part of this thread is learning that Toof drinks that overpriced shit. I mean, soccer is bad enough, but soccer AND Starbucks? Sheesh man.

If one Starbucks strikes, I suppose you can go a mile down the road to another one.

I bought my wife a Jura coffee machine. I don’t drink coffee and don’t know shit about it other than my wife no longer gets coffee at Starbucks and it wasn’t cheap.
