    It is an absolute delicacy, and I’m embarrassed at how fast I can destroy 3 jars.
    Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

    My Momma had a recipe and I got it but whe don't do the jars. Why you ask. They get eatin in a week

    Simple to make - pack the jar with medium shrimp. I put a few thin slices of lemon , some red onion and jalapeno slices in there. Some Black pepper and a little Tony C's in each jar. Standard pickling recipe. I made 6 jars and will probably make another 6 before the weekend... I need to look in the freezer to see how much shrimp I have.

    Tails on for the pinkie out crowd... The fella who gave me the recipe has passed. His Mama was Charleston royalty and she always put some on the table for appetizers. He liked to dump a jar on top of a mixed green salad and dig in. Favorite summer time lunch of his.

    They are fit to eat for sure.

    Last week while at the beach, I was involved in devouring 3 jars of pickled skrimps. No gout.

    They were fantastic ..I did eat fried B-liner, Triggerfish, and multiple dozens of raw oysters too. A bunch of Datil pepper sauce also. Survived it all.

    Pat Conroy has a good easy recipe in his cookbook, which is a really good read as well. I credit his pickled shrimp recipe with about 15% of how I landed my wife.
