    Corn hunters struggle when acorns fall. Adding another weekend day would increase the harvest in theory. DNR philosophy is what the legislators tell them.

    The Midwest has a much different Hunter density and short firearm season.

    I think SE Ohio is the most difficult.

    Corn pile ain’t the problem. The one study that most are throwing around was BS. Pen raised turkeys that were fed both but tainted corn. That tells you nothing about the wild population. And there’s major declines in states that do t bait. Habitat and prediction yet very few people are actually doing anything about those two thing because it means they’d have to put out effort. Easier to point finger at what someone else is doing
