Saw a hen and 8-10 poults on the Home Forty last Thursday.
This was after I hosed the scrub brush they were hiding in down with Crossbow.
So, hope they like herbicide.
Saw 2 different bunches while out spraying clethodium last week. Central NC.
Seen a hen with 8ish bittys today on edisto

Damn right.
Almost ran over 2 poults 2 weekends ago with a finish mower and caught a coyote trying to get them last Sunday. And I was concerned about spraying clethodim.
One hen with at least two. They were in some thick stuff but I did lay eyes on two

Saw this group yesterday evening at the club. Went around the corner in a new food plot we planted with Magic Carpet and it had 4 longbeards in it.
every expert was once a beginner
I have not seen a single one. Hens on camera don’t have any that I can see. My turkeys are in weird groups for this time of year. Maybe the yellow flies ate em
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

I've seen 2 groups in upper Charleston. One was big, one was not. It's still early and not real worried
I’ve seen a large Tom with 2-3 jakes, but no hens or poults anywhere, yet.

Seeing a few. Most are just big enough to fly a little.

Took a spin through the swamp this morning. Saw a hen with 4 poults, then 2 hens with 15. All of them were big enough to fly!

Saw 2 hens today with about 10 poults. Half could fly and were pretty good sized.
Still have decent amount of gobblers on camera and saw a lot of Jakes this spring.
Too soon to tell but I would think the new regulations are having an impact. That being said habitat around me is ideal. Hardwoods, regular burns and so forth. I have definitely had a significant increase in turkeys in the 4 years I’ve had the property.
Speaking of weird. This time last year I saw 2 longbeards strutting with 4 hens in a field on 2 separate occasions in 1 week. 3rd to last week of June.
Sadly that same spot off 221 has been graded and the warehouses will be assembled by the end of summer this year.
No poults to report in southern Spartanburg county that I've seen.
