    Default Camden/Lugoff/NE Cola Vet Recommendations

I’m currently still using Dr Coker in Kingstree but would like to find someone in this area that offers the same type of service that Jimmy offers and is as fair price wise. So with that said who are y’all using?

    Good dude.

He dated my wife when we were in college and I don't hate him. So, there's that.

Matt is a cool dude, I like him a lot. One of the hardest working people I know. I wave at him every morning. I like Hamilton at Mill Village a lot too, but Ham isn't making any after hour calls. Matt will, if the dog is a hunter that's big with me. Him and his roommate from Vet school are there now at Camden Vet. I can't say enough good things about them, wildly busy, but they care.

    Yep, they are good.

They are now taking appointments as well. It used to be first come, first serve.

You can still walk in if you want.

Him and his buddy there, his roommate from vet school cut my Boykin open a couple months back, on a Sunday night, called me all the way through it

I met Matt on a duck hunt at our place when he just moved to town.. we were cleaning ducks at the cabin, and he broke out a case. I said "Horry", and he was like how'd you know.

How are they price wise? Dr Coker in Kingstree is cheap enough that I can justify driving down there. But with my shorthair getting close to senior status I’d like to have someone closer.

    He's competitive.

Cheaper than the other folks I used to use, but that's not why I switched.

I switched because he's a good dude and a good doggy doc.

I use Fulmer because he comes to Kershaw once a week and he works on horses as well.

Same place Q22.. I've known Ronnie my whole life, my sister went to work for him at 15. Ham at Mill saw a couple of my dogs there before he went out on his own. He came out to help me with putting my old lab down. Rundlett at Wateree is a nice guy too, he's over there with Wateree in the Lugoff area. I like Matt though, he's hands on, cool, and is there. The price for what Matt did for me the last time was beyond fair.

I can just about throw a rock and hit his parking lot from mine as well.

I will say this in January of 2020 I had to put my 35 year old walking horse mare down. I called fulmers and the guy that came out said he was taking over fulmers practice. I believe his name was matt. I was trying to fight back tears and he was as compassionate as he could be. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again. As far as dogs go fulmer comes to Kershaw once a week for minor stuff. My wife has taken her dogs to Camden for major stuff and never complained. Which is highly unusual.

What Highstrung said..... I live just down from Fulmer. He's always been there for our horses and dogs whether he's at the office or at home. I see Matt being a great replacement in that same manner.

Ham at Mill Village is good too. Went to school with him yrs back for a bit and he pulled my current lab thru Parvo just as I had gotten them to fix her. I couldn't get in at Fulmer's so I went to Ham for the surgery. It was a touch and go because all her Parvo symptoms came just hours after the surgery. They went above and beyond to get her better.

Either of these practices will be a good choice!
